Top Dry
The advantage of Top Dry is that because the cut grass is deflected out through the hood to the mower's maximum swath width then the crop dries very quickly and within 2 days it is possible to pick up the silage before rain washes valuable nutrients away.

To obtain a good economy a cattle breeder needs low machine costs and high roughage quality. These requirements have been in focus while developing the Top Dry System.

Traditionally, the grass stays in the swath for some hours before it is spread out. As there is always a risk of rain, it can be very important to reduce the drying time more than just using the conditioner. With Top Dry the drying process starts immediately. This helps to yield a higher sugar content within the silage crop.

With Top Dry you can avoid the use of rotary tedders and sometimes the use of a rotary rake as well apart from when the crop is small or the chopper capacity is high.

Transport
The machine can be raised in transport position to have enough ground clearance to be able to pass ditches and similar obstacles. When the machine is swung to the rear transport position, the spring is automatically locked and the hitch pins are thereby held in the horizontal position for easy connection and disconnection of the tractor.

Pendulum Suspension
The cutterbar with pendulum suspension provides low ground pressure and ensures optimal ground following. Also the lateral forces on the tractor and the power consumption are reduced. The cutterbar is effectively protected by a 4mm bottom shield, stone protectors, side protectors and skids. Furthermore the whole cutterbar is secured by a breakaway mechanism which prevents damage in case of collision with foreign matter.
