Compact, Well Engineered Design - the massive rotor with twin cross-beaters even out power peaks and minimise power consumption. PTO slip and over-run clutches protect tractor and drive line. A two speed gearbox, cross beater shear pin and heavy duty PTO shaft are examples of the standard features of the Tomahawk 9090.
Robust Construction - a box section chassissupports the machine,twin rams operate the Tail-gate and roller chains transmit power to the beaters, which incorporate bolt-on blades and rippers. Easy maintenance access is provided to all areas of the machine via removable panels.
Dual Purpose - same machine will handle both feeding and bedding operations. Feed will mix if layered during loading.
High Capacity - 6 cubic metres of clamp silage, 2 round bales up to 6ft in diameter or any size of rectangular bale (2 small profile bales) can be handled by the 9090.
Minimum Chopping - just shredding and spreading gives an ideal bed for loose housing. The light shredding effect produces an absorbent, even layer of straw which the cattle do not sink into.
Less Straw & Cleaner Cattle - teasing the bales apart thoroughly gives straw savings of up to 30% and keeps cattle cleaner
Good straw Discharge Distance - up to 20 metres (65ft) at 540 PTO RPM.
3 Chute Options - choice of Side Outlet, Sloping Chute (swivel giraffe with slide), or Twin Chutes to suit individual requirements.
Two Speed Gearbox – high speed for straw distance, low speed for silage feeding.
Self Loading Rear Door loads round or rectangular bales if a separate loader is not available.
Heavy Duty Bed Chain - driven by hydraulic motor via a totally enclosed gearbox. Speed and direction is controlled from the tractor seat to give full control of feed rate and starting torque. A Speed Indicator is visible to the operator.
Flared Tailgate With Deep Sides gives extra clamp silage capacity and guides the bale into the chamber when self loading.
