Shibaura

Ishikawajima Shibaura Machinery Co. Ltd. was established in 1950 by two companies, Toshiba Corp. (Tokyo-Shibaura-Electric) and IHI (Ishikawajima Harima Industries). Originally Shibaura started as manufacturer of engines, garden tractors and fire pumps. In 1961 a factory was completed for the production of a complete line of tillers and compact tractors up to 40hp. In 1978 Shibaura started the production of tractors over 50hp. Shibaura is young and dynamic company, which grows extremely fast to European standards. At this moment Shibaura has two factories. One in Matsumoto for the production of tractors, this factory has a total annual capacity of 40,000 units. The second factory in Yokohama is for the production of frontmowers, brushcutters and powertools.
